Randy Lashua

Administrative Assistant

As the part-time administrative assistant, Randy’s responsibility is to maintain the integrity of the institute’s documentation system so that information is easily accessed for legal, financial, development and administrative purposes.  She also assists the Office Manager with clerical tasks and when needed, opens the gallery on Main Street for scheduled public meetings at night.

After receiving a Masters Degree from Simmons College in Boston, Randy started her career in information science at Yale University as assistant editor of a journal in computer science. From there she went to the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation in Pittsburgh as a research librarian and as a technical writer for their international monthly abstracts bulletin. Her love of reading and language, nurtured as an undergraduate at Syracuse University, led her to school librarianship; for many years she taught in private schools in Westchester County, Connecticut and Ulster County.

Five years ago Randy and her husband moved to Beacon where they are engaged in environmental, spiritual, river, art and community endeavors. Beacon has become their home.
