Senior Project Manager
Regan Coover-Chichester, Senior Project Manager, coordinates the planning, design and construction of Beacon Institute’s new and renovated physical facilities on Denning’s Point, at Beacon Harbor and in Troy. These Institute projects, including the newly opened Center for Environmental Innovation and Education (CEIE) and the future Center for Advanced Environmental Research (CAER), aim to achieve the highest levels of integrated sustainability. With a background in design, architecture and planning, Regan is expert at working with diverse teams of consultants, architects, engineers, public officials, and clients in order to facilitate smooth project completion.
Regan has led the master planning process for Beacon Institute's campus at Denning's Point in Hudson Highlands State Park which includes the Institute's future stewardship of the entire peninsula. Additionally, she is orchestrating the Institute's revitalization of Beacon Harbor in partnership with the City of Beacon.
Prior to joining Beacon Institute, Regan worked for many years with prominent design and architecture firms on projects for the State of New York, including a visitor’s center, theater and a judge’s quarters. She also has played key roles in the design of many high-end residences, and completed master plans for academic clients. With a bachelor's degree in textile design and exhibition techniques, Regan spent her early career as a successful professional artist, creating and promoting her own line of textiles and exhibition pieces, and working as a designer and color expert in the textile industry in Manhattan.
