Director of Educational Programming

Michael Heintzman, Beacon Institute Director of Educational Programming, oversees the coordination of all educational programming at the Institute. His primary focus is to manage all logistics for the Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) program.

Other responsibilities include the management of all operations for the academic offerings and special events sponsored by Beacon Institute and other organizations that regularly take place at the Center for Environmental Innovation and Education (CEIE) at Denning's Point.

In 2009, Mike joined the Beacon Institute staff as its first outreach coordinator, creating event programming for the new CEIE facility at Denning's Point which opened in December 2008. The originator of the Third Thursday and Walk & Talk series of environmentally themed lectures and tours, Mike continues to organize Walks & Talks, and has helped to raise awareness for hundreds who have participated in these Denning's Point events over the years.

Having spent 26 years years in New York theatre and television as a professional actor, writer and producer, Mike brings a wide variety of expertise to his Beacon Institute work and is a perfect host to the many students and audiences that participate in programming at Denning's Point.
