Administrative Assistant
Randy Lashua, Administrative Assistant, is responsible for managing scheduling and other office tasks for Beacon Institute President and CEO Timothy Sugrue, including logistical coordination for the Institute's board of trustees meetings. Randy also works directly with the office manager and provides additional support for the entire Institute staff; her primary clerical role is to maintain the legal, financial, development and administrative documentation system.
Randy completed her undergraduate work at Syracuse University and then received her masters degree in library science from Simmons College in Boston. She began her professional career at Yale University, serving as assistant editor of their international publication Information Science Abstracts. Originally from New York City, Randy made her way to the Hudson Valley from Pennsylvania and points south, to raise a family and teach in private schools located in Westchester and Ulster Counties. Randy, a Beacon resident since 2005, joined the staff of Beacon Institute in 2009, drawn to its mission.
